Beautiful building and some fascinating exhibits focused on all aspects of design. Some excellent examples of innovation a creativity from across Scotland. It was very busy but there is plenty of space inside. There is minimal parking at the museum so look for a space in one of the city centre car parks. Cafe was good and the restaurant on the second floor has stunning views.

Nice place. Great design

New museum, only few exhibits but very captivating. The design of the building adds another dimension to it and the surrounding area is lovely any time of the day. Cafe is nice, not big on the restaurant but reasonable selection.

Designed at an "affordable price" and constructed at unjustifiable cost its a value for money rival to Dundee's original Tay Bridge. Built of poured concrete and clad in suspended rough cast blocks, its cavernous interior lined with what look like tilted tea-trays is even less impressive. Its limited exhibition space means its one you can afford to miss but if you do visit, watch out for the traffic as you cross two dual carriageways to get there from the town.

Wonderful design for a building in a crazy sort of way. Looks fabulous, like the brilliant work of art it is, but wildly impractical for a museum or public building. Contains two ace cafes and a very small museum - and several tons of purely cosmetic plywood planks inside and 100s of tons of purely cosmetic concrete slabs slung about 50cm outside of it on a little ladder system, complete with anti pigeon electrified wiring on them otherwise they would be a sea of bird poo. You have to love it, even if it is from the Marie Antoinette school of publicly funded architecture.
