Excellent local museum. Very interesting. Somehow we managed to go round the museum back to front. Did we miss a sign or is there not a sign telling visitors where to start?
What a brilliant time we had learning and understanding Dundee's heritage. 3 hours disappeared in the blink of an eye. Would definitely recommend and go back
We have had such a brilliant time from beginning to end. I never knew this place existed. The staff are so friendly, knowledge and kind. The centre has so much to see and learn. I will never look at my jute bag the same!! Food in the cafe was lovely and reasonably priced, would recommend the haggis and Scottish cheese toasties, delicious. Thank you for a lovely visit.
Had a brilliant time - actually surprised as we had always put off the idea of going to verdant works thinking it would be dull. Part of what made the experience so enjoyable was a volunteer called Lottie who showed us round, told us a lot of interesting and entertaining background info and was really good with our children. There were were others inside the museum who.got some of the machines working and even gave us a small amount of jute to take away. We went to the cafe afterwards which was also good with friendly staff
An interesting museum but was quite away from the main attractions of the V&A and Discover Centre. A small shuttle bus would be good to connect it to these. The signage could have been better to help direct people around in a more logical way to view the museum.
