Great place to visit always lots of fun activities for all ages.
Fabulous, well worth a visit. The workshops abs chats are great.
The idea is there just feel like it's lacking something. Okay my guy was free being 2 but in a couple months he'll get charged and I don't think it will be worth it. There is a bit at the back for pre school but even that is sparse. The exhibit upstairs was interesting and there were girls there about 6-8 having a ball. Really liked the story time, the girl that read the books was able to keep reading even while kids will be kids.
Brilliant place to take kids (and this adult). Unlike the V&A white elephant (see my review), there really is lots to do here. We took our granddaughter age 3 and 3/4. The young staff are great, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, they took time to explain stuff and were never far if we had any questions. Entry fee for the two of us, granddaughter was free, was 16, after the fun we had lunch, children's lunch, soup and bread for grandad and coffee for grandma was 8. Excellent value considering we were there nearly three hours. This was our second visit and granddaughter is already asking when we can go back.
It's really for children but is well thought out with lots of activities. There are always some PhD students doing real science that involve understanding how children's perceptions develop. Only negative comment is that it doesn't represent anything like the full range of sciences.
