Very nice place to spend a night. Very clean and comfortable room with spotless bathroom. Friendly helpful staff and a nice breakfast overlooking the water (if you get in the front table in the bay window) Free and plentiful on street parking and only a mile or so into Dundee. Only minor gripe is wi-fi in public areas but not the room, other than that cannot fault.
Really lovely place to stay. Staff very friendly. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Bed was really comfy. Bathroom was also spacious. All the toiletries you need. Nice white fluffy towels, dressing gowns and slippers. Nice quiet hotel a short walk from places to eat and drink en route to town centre. Breakfast was lovely. Lots to choose from. Great selection of fresh fruit aswell. Would definately recommend.
The Shaftesbury is a family run Bed and breakfast lodge . The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The hosts go above and beyond to ensure you have enjoyable stay . Breakfast is individually prepared . In my view this hotel provides the best value for money in Dundee.
This is a great Hotel, within a 20 minute walk to Dundee's west End and its vast array of Bars, Restaurants and Shops, the property is an old Victorian house, the rooms are clean, the Beds are excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, the cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent, great choice on offer. Will definitely be back for a second time. You won't be disappointed.
