Beautiful house. Food fine. Service lets the place down.
Asked to see the Stables as a wedding location, got told no. Shoddy service in the restaurant too, had to go out to the reception every time to ask a member of staff for service. Terrible
Beautiful house. Welcoming setting and a perfect location for afternoon tea. The tea room is decorated perfectly with teapots hanging from the roof as lampshades. Music was really nice, playing quietly and was relaxing. Didn't feel rushed at all and of course the food was absolutely delicious. Good variety for myself and my vegetarian friend. Will certainly be back. Left with full bellies and left over cakes in a box. Finally, the plain scone was perfect.
This is a small hotel with lovely comfy rooms. The house has kept a lot of original features which adds to its comfort. There is a bar, a gin bar and the Stables for eating as well as the hotel's old billiard room. Beautiful. Food is ver good.
My friend and I had afternoon teaAnd it was lovely. Sandwiches beautifully served. Lovely selection of dainty, delicious cakes and scones with a selection of jams. As much tea or coffee as you wanted. Would recommend it to anyone. We had enough for four, so had to leave quite a lot. Were offered a box to take it home but we declined.
