The current team of doctors here are really excellent; theyre understanding, friendly and professional, and do their own research when needed. The doctors I have seen really listen and are happy to explore various options and dont just throw meds at every problem! Between them they seem to have a wide range of specialised knowledge and experience which is certainly beneficial to the individuals they see. Theyve been able help me effectively manage my chronic health conditions and have restored my trust in general practitioners. The surgery itself has good accessibility for those with mobility problems; a lift which fits a wheelchair and 2-3 others, wheelchair accessible toilets, and a lowered counter at reception. There are plenty of chairs and you wont need to walk to far in the centre without the option to sit. The consulting rooms, waiting room and corridors are of a good size and doctors are helpful with doors. The check-in screen has large letters, numbers and buttons for those with sight impairment. It is unclear whether they have a loop recorder to assist with hearing impairment but as it is a very modern surgery one would assume there is a high probability that this was installed during the build. The female receptionist is always helpful and sweet. Unfortunately the male receptionist tends to seem obstructive, rude, and makes false assumptions about people/ situations that he stubbornly sticks too. Ive experienced this myself but Ive also overheard him speaking down to people and making assumptions about their health when those people are being polite and genuine. He was also needlessly rude to a family member who went to collect my prescription. Perhaps some sensitivity training and a discussion about remaining within the boundaries of his role would be beneficial to the patients and vulnerable people hes responsible for communicating with. Ill not deduct a star because of him though as one persons actions shouldnt reflect badly on the reputation on the surgery as a whole; this is a doctors surgery where one only needs to be vulnerable with the doctors or nurses, not the receptionist.
Sick of phoning the doctors and getting the receptionist who thinks he's medically trained!! No appointments for 10 days but you've just to struggle on!! Actually makes me feel physically sick everytime I call as I know they are gonna give me grief
Ive had a lot of bad experiences with the NHS over the years. This surgery has restored my faith in our health system. All doctors take time to listen to you, fast effienct service. All doctors and nurses are friendly and helpful. 5* service!
Despite having difficulty recruiting Staff, the whole Team are excellent, very attentive and friendly.
Struggle to get past the receptionists to get an appointment or they don't answer the phone. Also waited over half an hour every time I've had an appointment. Useless definitely changing my doctors surgery. Boy on reception also thinks he's higher up than a receptionist insisting I need to tell him why I want an app when it's personal.
