Terrible experience and I changed surgerys right after leaving. Had an afternoon appointment and the doctor clearly had more important things to be doing than her job as she said I dont know whats causing this so I dont know what to do about it and then told me to leave!
Can't ever get through in the mornings. Last attempt was 176 call attempts, which took well over an hour. Doctors appear to be fine however.
Dr Paton is a highly professional gp very thorough competent and no nonsense approach old school takes no chances great Dr takes his job seriously would recommend Dr Paton as a good gp in Dundee
Unprofessional, rude, would avoid. Registered as a new patient on the 14th August as a student, filling out all relevant forms and showing proof of acceptance. Phoned up for a letter to be sent to the surgery for them to say that Im not registered as a patient there. Staff on the other end of the phone were incredibly rude and unprofessional. She explained I would have to come in and reregister as a patient without any sort of apology or acceptance on their part and just assuming that that would be fine. When I pointed this out, the lady on the phone said that I may have registered elsewhere or that it may not be the surgerys fault for some other reason and then decided to not even apologise out of confusion and rudely said I either had to come in again and reregister or go elsewhere to register. A short time later, another lady phoned me back saying that they had in fact found my application and it had been put aside somewhere and not put onto the surgerys system. Still, no apology was given and fault was still put on me, a patient who simply registered at a GP. The woman asked if I would still like the registration to be put through to which I reluctantly agreed, and will be changing GPs again shortly.Horrible first impression of the surgery, incredibly unprofessional and frankly rude.
No problem with the doctors always received good care. However, I can never get through to the reception when I call. It is always user busy when I call which is not something you need when trying to book an emergency appointment in the morning. I suggest opening another phone line up and getting more staff in.
