I do enjoy walking the wellgate for the shops they have to offer. Being a student most things are fairly cheap. However there has been a horrendous smell affecting one of the shops for a while now and the Wellgate are still to fix this. It puts me off visiting and I'm sure puts others off which isn't fair to the business. Once this issue is fixed and they sort the escalators out I'll give a higher review.
Sadly a shadow of its former self when a massive Tesco occupied prime position on the top floor. Top floor now is almost deserted thanks to all the out of town shopping centres with car friendly mostly unrestricted free parking.

To be honest I was only going through this shopping centre because it cuts out the start of the extremely steep hill, which can feel more like a mountain that lies at the back of the shopping centre. The centre itself has the usual variety of shops that exist in every mall you visit throughout the UK, safe but boring.
Multi level shopping centre in the heart of Dundee.Most of the shops are national chains so there isn't that much character.That said, the centre is laid out in an interesting way and there really is something for everyone there.Overall; well worth a visit.
