The Overgate Shipping Centre at Dundee I'd an unusually laid out shopping centre largely consisting of a row of shops (on 2 storeys) facing a glass wall.While it's mostly chain shops there are a fee stalls / stands in the concourse that are genuinely interesting; particularly the Red Castle Spirits pop up on the day we visited.So... A strange mix of the generic & the fascinating. Well worth a visit.
Great variety of shops and the centre itself is well maintained. Modern looking which makes you want to visit. Good variety of places to eat and drink and plenty of seating in the centre itself. I like that the centre stays open later for restaurants. Car park is a little expensive so I tend to park at the Wellgate but other than that I have no complaints..
Nice place to shop, with a good range of quite upmarket stores and decent eateries - mostly fast-food, but that's just what you want in such a place! Has a nice open airy feel, and never seems too crowded. Also has probably the pleasantest public loos in Dundee, which is a rare thing these days!!
It was brilliant, as expected. It was made even better with the 1. parking charge (sign said Autumn special by parking company). There's always something to be had or new to see here. Get in early before the Christmas mayhem ensues!!
A busy shopping centre in the heart of Dundee City centre, close to all the amenities such as the railway station and the newly opened V&A. It has the usual variety of shops and fast food restaurants eponymous to just about every mall in the UK, this being its strength but also its weakness, would you not like to see something different in a mall sometimes?
