Always a real treat to visit when we're in Dundee. Great atmosphere, such a brilliant variety of drinks and superb staff.
The Speedwell, or 'Mennie's' is a Dundee institution! A very atmospheric bar with good trad music sessions on a Tuesday night. The whisky selection is superb; if you're a gin or rum drinker you're well enough catered for too.
It's a hellofawalk out of town. However, the excellent 71 brewing is not too far and can be on way back in to town. Do both and enjoy your fitness regime.
I tried a few, but this was my favourite pub in Dundee! Good selection of beers, amazing collection of whisky, friendly staff and a real authentic feel. Worth hunting down!
Great traditional bar... Huge range of whisky, gin and decent range of rums, vodka and mixers. Great range of beer including real ale and craft beers on draught and bottled. TV showing football, rugby. Always busy.
