The staff were friendly and there wasnt much of wait for food despite how busy it was.For a starter I had the haggis and black pudding which was decent although why they added beetroot to the black pudding is beyond me. The main course was a venison stew with baby potatoes and assorted vegetables, the stew was wonderful and the chunks of meat were absolutely massive, definitely worth the price. For desert I had the chocolate cake, which was pretty boring with all the flavour in the icing. The prices are affordable and in the case of the stew definitely worth it.
Absolutely amazing value for money, our lunch was for 2 courses each and all for less than 20 , and we were full to the gunnels when we came out
Great food. Good prices. Never disappoints!
Very busy pub/restaurant. The pub food is just that-,pub food. Steak pie had soggy pastry, not to be recommended. There is an Italian restaurant attached which has had good reports but I have not tried it.
Always enjoy visiting here, wheather it's for a quick drink or a night out. The owner will always take time to speak to you if you say hi. Food is good too and some lovely staff. Looks amazing at Christmas with all the lights outside.
