The way the staff working on the ticket office speak to customers is completely disgusting and appalling and I am shocked anybody working would find it appropriate to talk to customers the way we were spoken to. People really do make Dundee so its no wonder more people leave Dundee every year if thats the way people are treated as they come in and out of Dundee train station. Ive made a formal complaint but highly doubt Ill be using this station ever again. If you want my opinion use the buses at least you dont have to deal with nasty staff.
Dundee Station a modern convenience, the waiting room has doors which are pointless. The waiting area might as well be open to the elements due to the fact that it is the access to the public toilets.Today isn't particularly freezing but I'm receiving next to no benefit sitting in the waiting room.All they needed to do is put a small vestibule at the doors. This would then allow the two pitiful heaters a chance to warm up the area...Stay on the platform and do a bit of people watching far more entertaining!
Nice entrance before you enter then....... Well that's pretty much it. Still one of the worst city train stations you could have the misfortune to be waiting in. There are a few wooden chairs and a small minimally stocked coffee shop. Surprised with the new development there wasn't some effort to put a shop or decent seating area in
The newly developed railway station for Dundee is a vast improvement over the tired old station. The entrance and ticketing area is very modern and spacious.The platform level hasn't changed too much (as of writing this review), however I'll update this review if notable improvements are implemented.
The new station is open (9.7.18) and it's a fitting addition to the new Waterfront! A thoroughly modern and airy gateway!! Certainly is spiffing now finished.Good location and will be ideal for all the new attractions! Helpful friendly staff. Operating as normal.
