So I had a blood test in November, which the hospital lost. I have a serious blood condition so it helps me to know my platelet count. I was in again two weeks ago for another blood test. Phoned the hospital twice to find out results. Half an hour of holding both times, leading to no conversation so me hanging up. So in total I've not known my platelet count since October. I could be ready to keel over at any moment. This is shoddy.
spent 45 minutes trying to find a parking space, was getting near to my appointment time so I parked outside on Ninewells Avenue and ran to the clinic to be shouted at by a consultant that I SHOULD ALWAYS BE ON TIME! AND THAT I SHOULD LEAVE THE HOUSE EARLIER. Wouldn't listen to any explanation just an arrogant individual who really shouldn't be a doctor, her solution is to use public transport still didn't understand that I am one of the few people who work for a living!! Made a formal complaint didn't do any good!!..... Also missed an appointment because I didn't receive the letter, How can that be my fault if I didn't know about it??? just arrogant people worst run hospital in the country.
A big thank you to the staff on Ward 33 for their kindness, patience and professionalism when my Dad was so unwell.
Staff in ward 7 and 8 are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They made Jill feel like there was no problems and everything was going well. .... As it turns out they were correct and all is well.
Mum admitted on Wednesday afternoon,I phoned repeatedly Wednesday night to be told each time that she was not a patient. After finally verification from my sister who was with her on ward,I tried to phone hospital on Thursday after 3 switchboard & 25 minutes on hold as no-one answering in admissions an operator bypassed & put me straight through to cardiac where once through a lovely nurse did try to connect me with my mum only to be cut off & having to start again.maybe less technology & more actual people might help.
