A weird meal. Taco bowl was dry, wet, hot, tepid. Extremely confused. The hand cut fries are actually flecks from the bottom of the fryer, come on guys. The juices pull it back, but nowhere near enough to make it worthwhile. Whole thing has an air of a failing yo-pro beanery.
A nice wee find when visiting V&A. Coffee was very good and sweet potato, kale and ginger soup was smashing. The one draw back was the lack of choice over the bread - there was just white on offer - I asked for wholemeal but was told it was "a pain in the arse" to prove, which is fair enough for busy folk, I guess, but for such a super-duper-healthy-trendy place could they not just buy some in, especially as there was a sign on the wall saying dietary requirements were catered for?
I was tempted to put 3 stars however I do think that with the right coffee training this place can shine. However if you sell grilled haloumi sandwich please dont serve toasted and by toasted I mean not so tasted haloumi. My salad didnt come with the dressing either. The people working were very nice, the atmosphere was very cozy and the music was great.
Nice place, great breakfast, staff and service. Had lovely avo toast with juice and coffee. All great! Will be back
You can tell by speaking to the owner and the staff working there that they are proud of what they now deliver. This place has great food, great interior. Well worth a visit.
